In September 2018, the board of Wici took part in “Youth take action for peace”, an international exchange for activists, employees of non-governmental organizations and educators. The training, financed from the Horizon 2020 programme, addressed such issues as conflict resolution, mediation and peace building tools. The location was Kobuleti, a small town on the Black Sea coast in Georgia. The highlight of the training was a social action on September 21 (on the International Day of Peace) in the center of Kobuleti. During the activity, the participants of the exchange invited passers-by to share their reflections on what peace is for them. Written down, the reflections were then hung on a symbolic laundry string on Kobuleti main square (drying laundry is a very characteristic element of the landscape of Kobuleti), encouraging residents and tourists to stop, have a chat and engage in other artistic initiatives that day.
