In August 2017 we set off to our first international viking festival. We chose the annual Viking Festival in the Lofotr Viking Museum in Borg in Lofoten, possibly the northernmost Viking museum in the world. Come rain or shine, we had a great time. We drove over 8,800 km but it was well worth it. We had five wonderful days full of unusual activities such as sailing a viking boat in the rain in between the fjords (although no one was experienced in rowing, the boat sailed anyway;)) or appearing as extras in a documentary about Lofoten. We greet the organizers, new friends and the great audience who visited our market stall, skål!
